With a reputation for charming and inspiring audiences, musicians and students alike with her infectious good nature, Dr Kathleen McGuire has enjoyed more than three decades of music-making in seven countries, working with orchestras, choirs, ballet, opera and musical theatre including performances at the Sydney Opera House, Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. Born in Australia and proud of her 1700s French Hugenot ancestry and her 1800s convict ancestry, she was also granted US citizenship in 2011. Now based in Melbourne, Australia, she is a freelance conductor and composer, Music Director of the Tudor Choristers, and tenured Lecturer in creative arts and educational psychology at the Faculty of Education and Arts, Australian Catholic University
